The RAID controller went out on an XP SP3 workstation. Former RAID 1 array no longer available. Computer can boot off one drive, but not the other. Client ran this way for awhile and now the disks are out of sync.

Problem is now the client needs to boot of the drive that is not booting. When attempting to boot off of it, it just sits at a black screen and does nothing.

I've tried to do a repair of Windows XP i=on the non-bootable drive, but when the install program gets to the point of accessing the disk drive, I get the BSOD with a 0x000000007... error message. This drive WILL mount as a second drive and is accessible under Windows Explorer etc.

Is there a way to create a new MBR on the non-bootable drive while it is mounted as a second drive? If not, any suggestions?

Thanks.
