I have Quickbooks 2012 with a company's data in it.  I am going to integrate it with a MS Access database using an integration tool.   I am trying to make a copy of the Quickbooks file and paste it in a different directory and rename it to DummyFile so that I can practice working with integration tool.

The problem I am having is when I make a copy and paste the Quickbooks file somehow it is linked to the original Quickbooks file. When I make changes in the DummyFile it makes changes in the original.  This scares the you know what out of me.  How can I make a clean copy of the original and change the data and it not write back to original?  Thanks for your thoughts!
