Way of stopping IPhone 4s from automatically prompting me to connect to Wi-Fi networks

I need to find a way of stopping my IPhone 4s from automatically prompting me to connect to Wi-Fi networks.

My IPhone 4s has been set up so that it will automatically connect to my home Wi-Fi, work Wi-Fi, as well as the Wi-Fi networks of some other places that I go.

The problem is that every time that I go to a place that has a Wi-Fi network, I am always asked if I want to connect to one of the available Wi-Fi networks.

I need to always leave my IPhone 4s's Wi-Fi network connectivity on; however I need to find a way where it will stop prompting me to connect to available Wi-Fi networks in other places.

How can I do this?

Or if the IPhone 4s doesn't have a way of doing this, is there an app that I can purchase that will allow me to do this?
