Add non-Exchange email account to Outloook 2007 on a domain

I am using Outlook 2007 on a home/office domain with Exchange on an SBS 2003 server.

I need to add an email account that is not in my network. Rather than using another email client, can a non-Exchange email account be added to a desktop with an Outlook installation configured on a domain?

What about adding an Internet Email account with POP3 settings?

it will also allow you to use same outlook profile which you are using for you Exchange account.

Thanks for the quick response - I didn't realise that you can add a separate POP3 account.

Just a couple of issues - do I just add the POP3 account in SBS Administration or is there anything that needs to be done in Outlook too?

Also, will the POP3 email have the POP3 address when replying or will it revert to the default Outlook account?

Many thanks.

Everything works - thank you!

This may be pushing it a little but is there a way of selecting the signature for the POP3 account that has been added?

When selecting 'New' to compose an email the default signature appears, but when I select the POP3 account to send the email from, the default signature disappears and the email is blank, instead of the signature that has been created for the POP3 account.

....or can it not be done...?

Many thanks!
Go to Tools ->Options->Mail Format->Signatures->Under 'Choose Default Signature'

Select Email account, by default there will be Microsoft Exchange Server

Create your signature for your POP account as well :)

Excellent help - many thanks!
