cannot activate windows 7 professional

I get error code 0x800700B when I try to activate Windows 7 Professional. I tried the phone activation but the pop up window stays at the first country on the list.

Please advise.

It seems you have volume edition of windows ...is this computer connected to a domain.

Log points to security issue...less permission

Try this

Add Local Service Account provide full access to the following

"" C:\Windows\System32\winevt ""

Add Network Service Account and provide full access to the following

"" C:\Windows\System32\Msdtc""

""C:\Windows\DtcInstall.log ""

Reboot and then try activating windows 7.

I probably do have a volume edition.  This computer is not connected to a domain.   Do I still follow the steps that you outlined?  I am waiting to hear back from you before I do it.
Is this a personal computer or provided by your company...if its a personal computer then you need to uninstall the product key and update the product key that is on the COA label.
