I have worked with Telerik for a few years now and found the grid component to be quite slow. JQGrid loads much faster when dealing with 10's of thousands of records
Ah! I see. But from a design point of view, I normally try to avoid grids running into 10's of thousands - my rationalle normally being that my users really cannot consume 10's of thousands of records at a time. I often rather try to build grids that summarise data where necessary OR provide enough filtering capability that they can be as specific as possible with their searches and I even soemtimes give ability to specify the number of database records to return - (with a maximum). Where they need to dump data out of my databse, I also give them the relevant tools.

But of course, different applications do have different requirements and design constraints. All the best with your selection exercise.
Hi, yeah thats a fair point. There is really only a couple of cases in our application where the users need to trawls through all relevenat records.  I could summarize the data for them and move them away from wishing to trawl through everything.
Hi,

Thanks so much, I have gone with Telerik Controls

Kind Regards,
John
