Are both databases, i.e. mail and archive, on the same server?

I have mail and archive on the same Windowsserver, but I get a Java script error even after allowing popup windows.

My server is 8.5.2

Hi there jobby1,,,

Firstly, let me ask you if you are able to access any other database using  Inotes ( Web Browser )  ???  e.g. Are you able to access your database or any other using the WEB ???

Secondly ,, did you make any Web redirecting database  for the web access ???

Finally, you have mentioned ,,,,
>>it is going to a different link and not able to open the database<<
What is a different link ???? Is it an Internet one e.g. Google, Yahoo etc ???
Try to by pass the URL link you use to access the archiving database ... by the following
- If you are using IE ....
-Internet Porperties
-Connections
-LAN Settings
-Under the " Proxy Server" click Advanced
-In the " Exceptions"
- In " Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with" add the URL of the Archving database

Best Wishes

A general check:
When opening a database in web
Make sure that ACL of database contains (Anonymous) as no access (or else , it depends)
The database properties are correct (example in image). So make a compare between two databases (compare the failing with a successful one)

How do you normally open your archive database in Notes?

Author

Commented:
I am accessing the database from the notes client using link under archive . I did not configure the redirect database. Is it a mandatory? Also I can access all database directly using web from archive server and other servers.

Strange... I don't have a link under Archive.. :-O

You do use the R8.5+ mail template, don't you?

Commented:
Could you please provide some snaps of both the "link under archive "  you are using to access it and a snap of who you " access all database directly using web from archive server and other servers."

In fact,, these snap will be helpfull for a better understanding of this case ...

Person Document Person Document Person Document I've been through the snaps you have added and have some questions & recommendations on them .....

-Firstly,,, could you please access the archive file using the Lotus Notes Client then do the following ... Click ,,, File--->Application---> Properties then

On the first tab..... Provide me with the following details
Title        ????
Server     ????
Filename ????

On the third tab search for Template name ???? what is the template of this Server-Based Archiving database ????

- Secondly , I've asked you in one of my previous posts if "you make any Web redirecting database  for the web access ???
" Watch this movie " http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/Demo_Setting_up_Lotus_iNotes_Redirect" ??? and this is the page when redirects you to the desidered Inotes page after you add you UserID and Password ...

Thirdly,,, I just would like to remind you that In order to access any database using the Inotes you have to set a userID and a password on the person document of the user as shown in the red boxes of attached PDoc.jpg.

Finally,, luckily I've found this interesting similar useful case , please have the time to read it
