troubleshooting Question

Cannot connect to SQLServer -->php, iis

Hello,

  I am trying to setup a server that will host a PHP web application that will connect SQLServer . This is error is get when I try to connect via PHP
 
Warning: mssql_connect() [function.mssql-connect]: Unable to connect to server: myserver

Here is the setup

PHP 5.03 (cannot install latest PHP ..)
IIS 7.5
WIN2008R2
database - SQLSERVER 2005 64 bit on a remote machine

Here is what I have done

Copy the PHP ZIP -> extract to C:\Program Files (x86)\PHP directory
copy ntwdblib  -- version 2000.80.194.0 to c:\windows\system32 folder
copy php.ini file to c:\windows folder
add php to the path
enable mssql in the ini file
RESTART --IIS
Here is a dump from <phpinfo()

What am I missing...
