My backups have taken over my 1.36 TB HD and the HD I'm backing up is only 452GB and only 2\3 full. I've looked for options in the Win backup program, thinking I should find an "incremental" option but I've never found one.
How does Win choose which files to backup; after the initial backup?
I have chosen the files, outside of the "My Documents" folder, that I want to include in my backup sets and I just did a clean backup last night. The backup folder is now 221 GB.
If I did another backup right now I wouldn't expect the size of that file to change; since I've done nothing on my computer since the initial backup. But, based on the number folders I just deleted, I would guess there would be an addition large file added to the list and my daily backups would eventually overwhelm my large backup drive again.
I would like to create an incremental backup; so that only the files that have changed since the last backup get added to the list, but I don't see that option.
