Citrix Receiver with iPad
My customer is using Citrix Xenapp 6 and has a Citrix Secure Gateway server that allows remote connections.
The remote users are all PC users and the way it is configured at the moment is such that all users have to add the ip address of the CSG server into their hosts file and install a self cert certificate.
There is no 3rd party SSL certificate as the internal domain name redwood.co.uk was setup before it was realised that someone else was using it. I have a GoDaddy SSL certificate that references the actual company domain name redwoodskills.com and this is used for OWA and Outlook on iPhones and allows external users to connect to these services.
However, they now have some iPads and want to use the Citrix Receiver to connect to the Citrix Farm. I have no way of modifying the hosts file without jailbreaking the device.
I am thinking of adding another SAN (my_CSG_server.redwoodskil ls.com) to my goDaddy SSL certificate an then using a different SSL port to fire inbound traffic to the CSG server.
This should get over the iPad hosts file issue but will traffic be able to flow between the CSG and Citrix Server Farm?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Brian,
There should be a button or something on each answer where you can assign or split points between different answers.

I have had major issues with SSL through the FW to this site and it is causing plenty of issues with Autodiscover/Citrix etc. If I was to have my life again I would:
a) make sure I use a unique domain name!
b) have multiple inbound IPs and avoid having to put SSL on different ports

z) choose a different career than IT!
Thank You for your responses. This request has gone to sleep now so I'm abandoning this question for the time being.
What is the protocol regards assigning points etc?
Brian
