Can't logon to 2008 server via RDP but can using console
Hi
I have a problem with a server here. We can't logon via RDP out of hours using *any* of our admin accounts.
We can logon to the console however using the same accounts.
When we try using RDP we get a generic "Username and Password incorrect" error. The same details get us on to the console without any problem.
None of the accounts have any logon hour restriction on them, and if we create a new account with all the normal permissions on that server via the console, it cant logon via RDP.
Come monday at 9am it's all back to normal.
These accounts CAN log on to our terminal services servers (2003 and 2008) once their account is created so there can't be any logon restriction on the account level.
Can anyone think of a reason why you couldnt log on to a specific server during out of hours periods but you could still log on to other servers on the same domain?

There is a specific tab for Hours restrictions on user accounts. Is this where you checked? I know the question seems redundant.
Is there a restriction on hours in your Firewall? I have never seen this, but you should check your firewall.
Is someone leaving a session logged on? Normally that would say sessions not available.

It's not the logon time restrictions in the properties of the user account as we can log on to other machines. We've checked anyway and all the hours are set to allowed.
Maybe a firewall blocking the RDP port on schedule or something? have you got a firewall ?
