Data are stored without such information and it is a feature of the UI to display them as you need.

If you display some table data in a BROWSE window then Table menu prompt appears in the menu bar. You may change the font properties in many ways in this menu. If you are using Resource file (Foxuser.dbf - see SET RESOURCE in help) in your VFP IDE then the font set for the BROWSE is stored into this file and it is used every time you open the BROWSE for the given DBF.

The BROWSE command itself has FONT clause where you can define font.

Othe data presentation methods use similar techniques - Grid object has Font... properties, Screen window also has Font... properties.

You may change the Screen font similar way how you are changing the font in Command Window - just press the Shift key when clicking on th Format menu.

It is best when you change the font programatically in the UI or in the code.

FontName = "Arial"
FontSize = 8

Captain
I'm not a programmer just an intermediate level user. Can you give me a step by step guide in layman's terms how to change the fonts. Can it be done for all dbf's (globally).??
Thanks

My guess is that you are opening your database tables by BROWSE window.

In the menu there should be Table/Font option.
