upgrade/migration from 2007 to 2010 (ntlm vs kerberos)

We are in the midst of planning our upgrade/migration path from SP2007 to SP2010.

As a part of this, I've been thinking about making the switch to Kerberos in the 2010 environment (we use NTLM in SP2007).

Is this a reasonable idea?  The reasoning behind this is that since we're doing a migration, we'll have several opportunities to test (Test Lab, Staging, and even Production since it's a migration).  Another reason is that we'll be creating a window of downtime anyway.  So why not take advantage of that window and make the switch to Kerberos INSTEAD OF doing a kerberos switch over several months down the road when we are already live.

What are your thoughts?
