I have a Dell Latitude d600 laptop whose hard drive has gone bad. I booted into Ubcd4win and started RawCopy to clone the disk to an external USB drive.

It started OK and rapidly reached 13.39% completion. However, it has now been stuck there for over 4 hours and it predicting over 300 more hours (at this error rate) and the transfer speed has slowed to 943 kb/sec and it continues to slow at each step. It has reported 14,333 read errors and 2048 write errors.

Does it make any sense to let it continue or should I just stop it?

I can't easily restart from the back because the external drive is bigger than the Bios allows for this machine. The max is 120 GB and the drive is 160 gb
