troubleshooting Question

MySQL select where year is > [this year -5]

Hi folks,

I have a MySQL query that selects using the following:

AND YEAR(news.posted) > 2006

I want to upgrade that to something along the lines of....

AND YEAR(news.posted) > [current year - [5]]

Not sure how to write the bit in square brackets, but the objective is to make the code always select the items from the last five years without my needing to go in and change anything.

Can someone help me out?
