I have installed on each of my Dell servers the server administrator software which is a great tool for detecting problems. About 2 weeks ago I started searching for how to get email notifications of these problems. after hours and hours of trial and error i finally got Dell IT assistant installed on a separate server. I find the documents long and very confusing. I can add the servers and some show in the list and others show unknown. Some show issues but I can view or send alerts on them.
So my questions is does anyone know step by step how to configure IT assistant to send alerts by email. Including what i need to do on the server that is being monitored?
