migrartion from aix5.3 to 6.1 using virtual opticval device.
OK, I have an AIX 5.3 tl12 sp2 which is going to be upgrade or migrated to AIX 6.1. I have attached the DVD1 from AIX 6.1 in the virtual optical device (see image).
I start LPAR from SMS, boot from the DVD, it began the migration very well but at the end it asked me to insert the volume 2 of AIX 6.1 and I wasn't be able to continue. Of course the migration didn't work, it does not even boot the LPAR after the migration. My question is? How can I use the two DVDs of AIX 6.1 in this migration using virtual optival devices?
I know I would unistall this packages it needs from the 2nd DVD but I don't want to touch nothing in this rootvg.
ALso, I could migrate this LPAR to AIX 6.1 from NIM, but I want to make it using virtual devices (As always :-))
Thanks.

umm... and if instead of doing it CLI on the VIOS, you change the virtual device, click OK and go back to the install and press ENTER? is it the same as you said above?
