w32 blaster worm
I have a computer that has a w32 blaster worm on it but I cant find any tools to get rid of it
its a windows xp and it keeps coming up with an internet secutiy warning error message.
i cant ope any applications because it displays a security warning and then expects me to activate internet secutiry to protect my machine.
I contacted symantec as i use v 11 on the network and they told me to download a tool to remove however, thet provided me with a tool that was not suitable to my network it was for use on novell netware and im using server 2008
can anyone help, please

I have tried this in safe mode , i looked at the registry but no enteries exist for any virus.
i logged into my profile on the network and its fine i dont see the security warning it only appears on my colleagues profile.
when i try to access anything on her profile i cant as it stops me from doing anything.
each time i boot into her profile symantec pops up with a window saying 'tamper protection alerts - blocked' I managed to login into the management console in symantec and uncheck the tamper protection alert to prevent future attacks.
i am puzzeled because i cant do anything to remove this from my colleagues profile and i dont want to resort to formatting the machine .
