I have recently set up a asp website on a hosting server. All is working well until I try to access the mssql server database. I have set up an odbc connection on the host plesk page however when I try to sccess the database from dreamweaver I keep getting error server does not exist or you dont have access. <br />
The steps I take are<br />
1 &nbsp;Add new database , I choose Data Source Name(DNS)<br />
2 &nbsp;Click define<br />
3 &nbsp;Click system DNS tab,<br />
4 &nbsp;Click Add tab &nbsp;...select sql server. enter name &nbsp;= &nbsp;WEB NAME , enter description = DESCRIPTION. , enter server &nbsp;= &nbsp; win\mssqlserver2008 <br />
5 Click sql server authentication &nbsp;login id &nbsp;and password &nbsp;( SAME AS USED WHEN SETTING UP THE ODBC CONNECTION ON THE HOST PLESK PAGE)<br />
6 Enter id and password click next<br />
7 error message &nbsp; Connection failed , server does not exist or connection denied...;.
