Exchange 2007 Autodiscover Service
Hi,
This relates to
https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27557553/Exchange-2007-Certificate.html
but no body knows what I am talking about.
Apparently the autodiscover service is still pointing at mail.abccom.com and i need to change it to point to mail.abclimited.com.
I have already opened up a support ticket with domain hosting company to update the records at their end to point to mail.abclimited.com but there are some questions:
1 - is that the only thing that needs doing
2. do i need to do anything on the server to update autodiscover records etc
3. or should i just buy another 5 SAN UCC certificate for old domain and the error will stop popping up.

You need to point your auto discover URL to the new one in Exchange Server.
ASKER
how do I point the autodiscover URL to the new one in exchange server?
ASKER
all the DNS entries are right and everything is spot on.
when I do ping to autodiscover.abclimited.co m internally, it points to CAS server
when I do ping to mail.abclimited.com, it points to right place.
When I try to configure outlook, I get the attached error message in ONE and if I click on view certificate, it shows the right certificate for mail.abclimited.com as shown in CERT.GIF file.
now I have to remind you that I haven't deleted any entries belonging to old abccom.com, so if I look in DNS on the server, we still have entries for mail.abccom.com, autodiscover.abccom.com.
Do I need need to remove those?
Am I doing something wrong?
Do I need to just buy a certificate for abccom.com and install it?
This needs urgent attention if someone can enlighten it asap. Points increased again.

I did extensive testing and upgrading to EWS edition fixed the issue.
(1) we purchased a "*.domainname.com" certificate for each exchange server.
(2) we also made sure the autodiscover dns records point to one of the CAS roles.
Unless there is some other configuration element that you are neglecting to mention, those two things should do the trick.
