SBS 2008 Sharepoint - remove Archived E-Mails site

I have a default "Companyweb" on sharepoint 2008 sbs that I am customizing. There is a default site called "Archived E-Mails" that I have deleted but can't remove from the Quick Launch sidebar. If I go into Site-Settings, Quick launch, the site appears there but there is no way to get rid of it. Since I deleted the site, I get an error, file not found message when I click on it.

How can I get rid of the link to Archived E-Mails?

Thank you,

Paul

I am assuming you are using Sharepoint 2007, below are the steps. For 2010 it should be somewhat similar...You can try this...

Delete a hyperlink from the Quick Launch bar
On the top link bar, click Home.
Under Quick Launch, click the name of the list, document library, discussion board, or survey.
On the page where the component is displayed, click Modify settings and columns.
Note   If the page displays a survey, click Modify survey and questions.
On the Customize... page, under General Settings, click Change general settings.
In the Navigation section, click No.

Read this as well...

For 2010 here is the link...

ASKER

Hi Pramadsk40,

Thanks for the response.  I don't quite follow you. From the Home page of the Sharepoint site, I see under Sites, the Archived E-Mails site. When I click it I get a message it doesn't exist because I already deleted it. This must be some kind of system site because it is SBS perhaps?

Once I am on the error page, I can't see any way to modify the links. I've included a couple screen shots as attachments so you can see what is going on.

Thanks,

Paul
