I gave up! nothing seemed to work. I couldn't repair so I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. Then it allowed me to apply all updates including SP3.<br />

I need to isntall a patch for office 2007 standard. office2007-kb2584063-fullf<wbr />ile-x86-gl<wbr />b.exe<br />

However, everytime i run the installer it says:<br />

The Detection failed, this can be due to a corrupted installation database.<br />
