Dear All,

I have a Linksys WRT610N Router that I presume is Version 1 as it doesn't say Version2 just the model number WRT610N

I want to Telnet into the Modem to get specifics of the router and can't seem to get port 23 open. Under Applications, I've set a single port open for Telnet being 23 and the IP address of that is the PC I've got directly connected to the router with the tick enabled.

I hit Save Settings and it says it has but, when I try to Putty into the unit it fails and it also says that the port isn't open in the dos command prompt with telnet

I've reset the router twice and Cold booted it, all with the same issue. I can ping it without issue.

Is there something I'm particularly leaving our trying to open a port. I've done planty of port forwarding with Belkin and Netgear routers, but this has stumped me.

Your Assistance would be greatly appreciated as I wish to install DDwrt on the router.
