We have just upgraded from Groupwise to Outlook 2010 running on 2011 SBS Server.  When we search on a folder such as inbox it only finds emails from the last week or so any thing older it will not find unless we do a full search on every folder which takes a lot longer.

This only works when the system is in Cache mode.  The users have to be running online so the instant search does not work

Also some of the machines are running Windows 7 SP1 or XP SP3 and it seems to be happening on all the machines.
Also check if windows search v 4 is installed for XP machines. it should work after you installed this.

As it is Non Cache mode it makes no difference.  Have tried the OWA and get the same results so must be server based problems.  Thanks
