Help with START-START FINISH FINISH Tasks

Can someone give me some real-world examples of tasks that need to start at the same time or tasks that need to finish at the same time?

Some food for thought (in several parts, this page being in the middle):
http://science.howstuffworks.com/science-vs-myth/everyday-myths/relativity13.htm

A diver leaping off a 10 metre board and doing 4 reverse somersaults, 2 twists, and a pike must open out in time for impact with the water or else he busts his guts all over the pool.  Nope, that's not really start/stop either.  I suppose you could say that he must finish his acrobatics at the same time his downward pull by gravity finishes, but that's not strictly correct either.

Fundamental Frequency?

Try bouncing on a trampoline or a flexible diving board at anything other than the fundamental frequency of the tramp or board (or multiples thereof), and you will find it impossible.  That's not a good example either though, because it is the diver or gymnast who initiates the vibration by jumping.  It just so happens that the two end up synchronising.

I need to think about timing the different components of my dinner now.
