I have tried removing the server from the domain and re-joining but I'm still getting this error message. Any ideas how I can fix this?

a. Is the server using the correct DNS servers for name resolution? For example: the DC uses a.b.c.d as DNS server. Does the problematic server use the same DNS?
b. The time zone set on server is correct?
c. The date/time set on server is correct?
looks like you time sync is all screwed up across the domain

first steps

Check the PDC FSMO role and make sure that has a valid time source to pull its time from and then make sure its syncing properly

then make sure the rest of the domain controllers are syncing to that DC

give it a go again after that

might be best to delete the computer account and rejoin then if you haven't already done that

Hi,
This server has x.11 set as the primary DNS server which is the local DC.
The local DC has itself x.11 as DNS1 and x.12 as DNS2, so yes both this server and the DC have the same DNS settings.
The time, date & zone are the same on the server and local DC.
I cant find anything wrong with DNS ...
is the time that same exactly as to the closest minute doesn't cut it for authentication

Hi,
My PDC role holder is syncing time OK to an external time source, my local DC is sycing time OK to my PDC so time sync is OK.
I have already tried removing & rejoining the domain.
Would this problem have been caused by building the server in a workgroup then renaming it and joining to the domain?

Hi, dcdiag reports everything OK and the domain is otherwise healthy.
Workstations, other DCs, other servers etc are OK. I just have a problem with this one new server when Im trying to join it to the domain? The time between the problem server and DC is slightly out but my guess is that time is not syncing because the server isn't joined to the domain properly. I think Event ID: 5719 is the problem.
I'm going to try removing the server, renaming it then re-joining it to the domain.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help

The time provider NtpClient is currently receiving valid time data from Server01.mydomain.com (ntp.d|192.168.1.10:123->192.168.1.11:123).
Server01 is the local DC in the office where this problem member server is located..

Yes, it is a new server so no data on it yet. I have another identical one here so will do a fresh build and see if the problem is something to do with maybe the NIC teaming drivers?

I cant find anything wrong with the domain or DNS, just this new server getting event ID 5719

hope that sorts it. ticking off all the suggestions seemed to point as hardware/driver issue rather than domain config
