HP Scanjet 5590 buttons don't work on Windows 7 but did work on Vista.

HP Scanjet 5590 buttons don't work on Windows 7 Enterprise but did work on Vista.  Removed hp software, rebooted, installed HP software for the scanjet 5590, rebooted.  Made sure that the Windows image Acuqisition service was started (and set to automatically start).  We can't enable terminal services at this site (security won't allow it) but I saw that was one possible solution for this problem.  
tried setup_full_5590_3.exe and twain.exe software for windows 7.  scanning works ok but the buttons on the scanner don't work.

So
1) You installed the HP Scanjet Full Feature Software and Driver ( http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15179&prodSeriesId=377689&prodNameId=377691&swEnvOID=4063&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=cs-78489-1 ), all 315MB of it and as a user with local admin rights?
2) You're allowing the Solution Center to run at startup?

The scanjet requires the resident software to recognize pushing the buttons.

Are there any other versions of HP software for another device?  I recently had to completely scrub all HP devices from a system (and, for some, they have scrubber utilities) in order to get the Solution Center to think it was dealing with the correct scanner.  It kept insisting the scanner was part of another All-In-One.

Hello, I got this link, but it does not have 315Mb, his size is 263.6MB, I did the same setup and it still does not work the buttons.
