extend FM antenna

I have a radio, but its FM singal is weak. Can I use an old phone cord to connect it so strength its singal?

You could.  I've also seen wire coat hangers used for the same purpose.  I've seen the pin removed that holds the current antenna on, then it is replaced with a length of copper tubing or wiring and coat hangers.  You should be able to use anything with a metal core.  Cut the connectors from the phone cord and strip a section off.  Wrap that section around a part of the existing antenna and  do the same on the other end and tack it to a wall or other object to keep it in the air.
