Truecrypt on mac and windows

I wanted to see if it is possible to  encrypt a usb flash drive  with truecrypt to work on both mac osx and windows 7.  Since I have been playing around with this it looks like it's either or do to the filesystem it creates on the flash drive.  Hopefully I am just missing something as it would really be nice to use the same one on both os's.

Thanks!

I have had this tutorial tucked away in my bookmark collection for quite some time, but never had the opportunity to test it personally.  However, it certainly sounds like it should work:
