I don't know if 5(20+x)=5(20)+5x  is associative property of addition, associative property of multiplication, commutative property of addition, or distributive property.

It might be associative property of addition, or commutative property of addition, or distributive property. That's what I think. I'm not sure. Please help!

Is this homework?
If you know what the associative property of addition, commutative property of addition, and distributive property of multiplication over addition are, how would you apply them to the expressions in question?

Well I know the answer isn't associative property of multiplication. But can you give me some of the examples of the other properties? So that way I can see which one is correct. Thanks.
