Hi,

I spent almost two days to configure 2x4TB SATA to RAID 1 with Server DL120 G6 and smart array P212.   From all your suggestions,  I have done upgrade the newest system BIO of version 0260414 to server DL120 G6, and I also have done to upgrade the smart array controller P212 firmware to the latest version V5.14 which is ROM configuration for Arrays Version 8.40.30.02.  The old version of Smart array controller firmware is V3.66.
Once I completed the Smart array firmware V.5.14 upgarde and reboot server, I have to select F8 to configure 2x4TB SATA drive into RAID 1 logical drives, and ROM Configuration for arrays keyboard and screen are frozen. And then I downgrade the smart array P212 firmware to V3.66, and then I am able to move Up and Down keys to create or delete logical drives.

I certainly believe the smart array P212 firmware V.514 is blocking the action for ROM configuration for arrays after "F8" option during the prebooting process.  Is there any one to report HP about the smart array controller firmware V5.14 problem?

I have to upgrade the smart array controller firmware because the old firmware is not able to recognize 4TB SATA drives.  Please help.

Thnak you,
Paul
