Can any 1 suggest 5 constructive projects in Core java which can be used as an utility.
I have created one: What it does is the following.
Select any path: It will pick all files and create respective folders according to the extensions and move the files there.

I want something constructive projects like this.

Select  a text file - then write all words starting with a-l to one file , all words starting m-z to another file - is this something you want ?

go recursively through all folders  within a given folder and select all files with certain extension - write then to a zip

again there was a recent question - turns out in java easier to do then with unzip command:

provide zip file name and the file name of the file within zip (without the path) and extract this specific file from the zip, no matter in waht folder within the zip it is sitting

Can you suggest projects equivalent to - Chat server. Similarly something like this.
Zip question is good one.

Isn't what you stated in the very beginning not a program, like anything else?

Those in the link are more extensive - really more like projects, but if you look at those of them which are simpler - you can pick up some part which will make them more easily manageable.

what is your goal with that and why writing to different folders accrodinfg to extensiosn is OK, and other things are not?
