Build a standalone TMG 2010 Array

Dear All,

I’m planning to build a high available TMG 2010 using two servers, configure a standalone array. I need to ask, if the array manager goes down, does the other TMG server will continue work and it will provide the same services or not?

And does there any limitations using standalone array?

How many server it support?

Thanks

The answer is yes - but it is all down to how you install the product and then how you configure things. e,g, Management server, array nodes, configuration backup regime etc. Remember TMG is licensed per processor.

Would strongly suggest you raed the TechNet guides on implementation guidance before you even started.

Secondly, in the same vein, write down your requirements and the logical flow (inbound and outbound) against your IT security policy before you start also. Makes installation the easy part.
