Cisco ACL - Match on DNS names

On a Cisco IOS router (ver 12.x) is there some way to make certain ACL entries match on DNS names in addition to the host IP address ?

Yes but you have to make sure you have an IP NAME-SERVER configured, then you can use a standard statement i.e.

permit tcp any host mail.whatever.com eq smtp
