Save the ratings on webserver

Hi, i have a question that is related to send feedback about something and save it on a remote server. What i want is a rating system equal has the ones used on the travel agencies to classify the quality of the hotel and rooms etc...
If there is an article or tutorial so that i can start from i would be very thankful.
