Hello,

I have a Outlook 2003 installed on Windows 7 x64. When I use outlook with the exchange 2007 in the office it is working fine. When I add an IMAP account that I have it hangs forever. The office package has all the updates, the os also. I tried repairing the office, renaming different files on outlook folders, also recreating outlook profiles.

However the issue still stands.

Any ideas ? :)

Do you have a security program like an antivirus? can you remove it an retry?

Hi Experts,

I have solved the issue by installing MS office 2010. It works fine and a lot faster. So issue resolved.

@Burns1978 - Thank you for the suggestions. Safe mode did not solve the issue and with regards to the AV it wasn't it's fault.

Regards
