jsessionid showing up

I am having a problem that jsessionid is showing up after my site url in the google search results.
I do not knowingly have anything on my website that uses  a Java applet.
How do I figure out where this is being generated from?

first: jsessionid has nothing to do with Java applets (usually)
second: is the jsessionid a url parameter or a key=value in the search parameter (aka QUERY_STRING)?

which framework do you use fro your application?

it's probably your application server which adds the jsessionid, check the configuration there

would asp.net create that?
but why when I search the entire folder I can not find 'jsessionid' anywhere?

jsessionid sounds more like java or tomcat
however, if a framework (even asp.net) allows to configure the name of the session variable it could be done there
