Windows Update GUI on WSUS network

This might be a silly question, but if you run the Windows Update program (i.e. the Web-based console) on a machine that is set to pull updates from a WSUS server, does it still pull the updates from the WSUS server or does it go out to Microsoft in that situation?

(Also, why can't I move the Points marker over in order to give less than 500 points for a question?)
