Thanks George, still using BCB5 myself but now embarking on a learning curve with XE2 with a view to porting existing code.<br />
Indy 10 is the next hurdle as I have been using Indy 9 up until now.<br />

Same here with the difference that I am using BCB6.<br />
One major issue with every version after 6 is unicode.<br />
I think you will see this when working with Indy.<br />
I am more a fan of ICS and TClient/TServer sockets in nonBlocking mode.<br />
