Is there an ADO section on the tool palette of Embarcadero XE2 C++ Builder compiler ?
If not then is it an optional component ?

Hi there,
If there is an edition other than starter then ADO components have to be located at dbGo tab.
BCB5&6 used different tab for ADO.

Thanks George, still using BCB5 myself but now embarking on a learning curve with XE2 with a view to porting existing code.
Indy 10 is the next hurdle as I have been using Indy 9 up until now.

Best regards,

Roger

You are welcome Roger.
Same here with the difference that I am using BCB6.
One major issue with every version after 6 is unicode.
I think you will see this when working with Indy.
I am more a fan of ICS and TClient/TServer sockets in nonBlocking mode.

Best Regards,
George.
