Exchange Server - Find number emails sent by an email account

Hi All

We have just had Exchange 2010 installed for us and we now have a request to see if we can found out how many emails have been sent internally and externally from a number of individual email addresses. Is there a way to find this out as we are all VERY new to Exchange 2010.

The low tech way would be to open the exchange logs in excel and count. If you aren't familiar enough with powershell. You could also try a third party program.
