Feedback with FTP transfers through L2TP/IPSEC VPN from Windows Mobile 6.5 devices ?

Did someone ever experience this ? i try to use the native WM6.5 vpn client to connect ( some Motorola ES400 devices ) to our LAN either through Wifi or 3G. VPN server on the LAN side is a Fortinet Fortigate 111C v4MR2

It connects fine, i use sql ce sync, access http intranet fine. I connect to ftp server, browse folders, fine.
BUT when i try to transfer file via FTP through vpn to our remote LAN FTP server, transfer timeouts or stalls almost immediately with error 426.

I tested everything to narrow down the problem :

2 different FTP servers (IIS FTP and Filezilla)
Wifi or 3G : same results
i created the same L2TP IPSEC connection on XP Desktop with XP native client, ftp transfers work fine.

Is the native L2TP IPSEC VPN client embedded in WM6.5 broken (at least when FTP is involved) ? Does not support the double connexion nature of FTP ?

I need to authenticate users so i tested other pure IPSEC clients with XAUTH support like The Greenbow which seems to work fine but i would prefer it free :-) ?

If someone can confirm "FTP file transfers through native L2TP IPSEC WM6.5 does not work" so i can justify paying ipsec vpn clients like The Greenbow. I did not find anything on the internet.

Thanks in advance

What version of ipsec?

FYI, I finally got FTP file transfers to work by setting exceptions and unchecking SLIP and header compression in the vpn connection settings.

I found the solution on my own
