Asante Intracore 36240 switch

Hello,

My client has a Asante Intracore 36240 switch and he is not sure what he did but the switch stop working. It loads passing the uncompressed stage; then it just hungs there. Is there a way to reset to the factory default and erase all the config? There is no reset button in the back of the switch. Thx

I cannot even get to the console# prompt. I just hang.

Did you try the alternative?

"If we don't have a console, things get a little trickier. Connect your
terminal emulator and bounce the switch. After it finishes the POST,
enter a Ctrl-U"

Could not get the Ctrl-U to work? It just loaded too fast.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

You'll have to try a few times, since there doesn't seem to be any other way.  I don't have any other ideas, so contact Asante's support if you can't get in: http://www.asante.com/_n/support_supContactform.asp

They don't want to provide support because the switch is end-of-support

I don't understand how they can't even tell you how to reset the switch - the least they can do is direct you to an FAQ or something.  This has to be a common question.  It looks like you'll have to keep trying the ctrl-U if Asante isn't going to help.
