SSRS 2005: wont run over web portal

hi all

i have a an ssrs report that points to a sql 2005 datasource,

locally on server i have visual studio installed the report runs fine

when i try to run it over the \\sqlserver\reports address is fails with the error:

An error has occurred during report processing.
Cannot create a connection to data source 'AchItil01'.
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors



any ideas?

How do you "run it over the \\sqlserver\reports address " and with what NT credentials? Are you using exactly the same NT login as when you  run it "locally on server i have visual studio installed the report runs fine"

i am running with the same logon credentials in each scenario

i have the report setup to use windows integrated security

it works locally eg
\\localhost\reports when on the actual server works fine

OK - if you can run it from \\localhost\reports what how do you run it from a client logged on with exactly the same NT login as it is working from server?
I would run it as IP not servername like: \\123.123.123\reports
Also can you edit the report and check credentials from that client under Report Manager URL? like \\123.123.123\report manager or whatever name you gave to that SSRS rpt manager web site.

i want back to basics and setup a new shared connection source which uses a limited access sql account and all is working fine now!
