Excel alternative to LOOKUP?

Hi,

See attached spreadsheet

I want users to enter "X" in row 2 and the selected value is displayed in cell B3

I am using an Excel to Web tool which doesn't cater for this, it there alternative method?

Does this work ?

=INDEX(B1:I1,MATCH("x",B2:I2,0))
