eclipse ide error

on ubuntu 11.10
eclipse does not open anymore

Probably a problem you should ask at the Eclipse user forum

Though it does look like eclipse has left a child process running that needs to be stopped before it can restart. Look for

$ ps -A | grep eclipse

and kill any you find. Eclipse may also have become corrupted (happened to me once during an update) in which case you may have to re-install.

I restarted computer, and still have same problem
