Outlook 2010 E-mails Addressed to One Person Are Actually Sent to Another

Have one of our employees that forwarded an e-mail addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org, in the sent items it shows that it is addressed to email@example.com. However, it ends up that firstname.lastname@example.org got all the e-mails, yet the original recipient never did. The exchange server log does not show that e-mail being sent to email@example.com, but instead shows the firstname.lastname@example.org as the recipients of the message. How do I troubleshoot this?
