Have one of our employees that forwarded an e-mail addressed to someone@company.com, in the sent items it shows that it is addressed to someone@company.com.  However, it ends up that distributionlist@company.com got all the e-mails, yet the original recipient never did.  The exchange server log does not show that e-mail being sent to someone@company.com, but instead shows the distributionlist@company.com as the recipients of the message.  How do I troubleshoot this?

Only possibility, emails on someone@company.com are forwarded to distributionlist@company.com. in Properties of someone@company.com you will find this information.

I figured it out: The employee had a Contact created in their personal contacts, that had the e-mail as the distributionlist@company.com, so it seems fine, except that in the Display As: field, they had the someone@company.com e-mail address entered in there.  So Outlook cached this entry and was using this contact list to send out the e-mail to the distributionlist@company.com
