Javascript based links won't open on Ma Safari

I have created a page that uses the app.launchURL("http://www.familycourtwebsite.org",true); link to open the above link in a new window from a hosted pdf. (To access this pdf, go to the URL www.AssessFamilyLaw.org and under the top menu item named "Articles/Videos" there is a submenu called "Documents." If you open this, then click the link for "Divorce Pamphlet" you will be presented with a pdf document.

On a Windows 7 machine running IE9, when I mouse over a link, I get the "hand" cursor and the link opens fine in a new window.

However, on a Mac running Safari 5.1.3 on "Lion," when I mouse over the links, the cursor does NOT change into a hand and the links are dead.

Can I make this work on a mac running safari, or is there a fundamental problem here?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lee Tutor,

Thanks for your email. I have checked all of the security settings and they are set properly. Maybe Safari uses Preview by default instead of Adobe Reader, thus ignoring the javascript in pdfs?
