Backtrack is like a punk tool and you have to figure out the use of all 100s of tools installed. Ubuntu on the other hand has a heap of documentation online for free. Still do not expect a person to work for you for free.

yes ive been doing a bit of research into backtrack and hacking in general i have found a few really good viedo series at www.securitytube.net the videos are straight to the point with demonstration of some of the tools within backtrack ill try and dig out some more of the websites ive found pretty usefull.. have you gone through the tutotials on the official website?
