Hello,

I have an image which has various hotspots done using an image map, when you rollover a particular hotspot a box appears with details on that brand.

You can view it here - http://sportism.arrivaldesign.co.uk/global_partners.php

I have it working to an extent using jquery to show and hide onmouseover, but I've tried several different ways and I always get a flickering effect at random times?

Can anyone suggest how I can stop this happening?

Thanks

Chris

It appears to be a case of an overdone effect.  The script engine is probably being overwhelmed by the number of events firing when the user mouses the map.  the is nothing killing the effects on mouse out so you can actually get multiple event firing at the same time.

Basically you have built a page that has the potential to get out of control. When an event is fired you have to terminate any other event that is in progress.

You.ve got it coded in jquery, an that is something I avoid trying to fix.  Perhaps a jquery expert will come along and have some suggestions.
