Enable Shadow Copy on a SAN Volume containing Exchange 2003 Database

I have a Windows 2003 server that has a SAN virtual drive assigned to it thats storing ithe Exchange 2003 database and log files.  Currently shadow copy is disabled on that volume.
Would it be best to enable shadow copy on that volume? What are the benefits for enabling shadow copy on that volume?  If the store gets corrupted and i restore from previous versions?

Hello,

Yes you can use Volume Shadow Copies with Exchange 2003. The main advantage is faster restore times. You doo need to take capacity planning into consideration to ensure you have anough disk space to accomodate the shadow copies. Read the following article for best practices:
